What’s New in 2.4?
The new BuddyPress Media 2.4 is fast, readable and lightweight. This 2.4 version will remain as a strong foundation for future feature-packed releases. BuddyPress 2.4 also offers:
- Enhanced User Interface
- Removed dependency on jQuery UI (commonly requested change)
- Well structured codes
Why Refactor?
Refactoring simply improves the code readability. Refactoring of BuddyPress Media has helped us reduce code complexity and dependancies. The new BuddyPress Media 2.4 is well structured and lightweight, which improves the overall user experience.
What’s Next?
As mentioned above, BuddyPress Media 2.4 is a strong foundation for some feature packed update (coming soon). Editing album names, better media organisation and sorting, improved support for iOS uploads & revamped upload functionality are few of the expected features on-route to 2.5.
