Installation

Prerequisites

Ensure that you have the following installed on your server, before installing rtMedia:

• PHP 5.3 or above
• cURL and GD libraries
• WordPress 3.6 or higher (Check WordPress Installation Documentation)

Installation

You can install the rtMedia plugin on your WordPress website in two ways. You can either install the rtMedia plugin from the WordPress dashboard directly or download it from the WordPress plugin directory and install it manually.

Install rtMedia from your WordPress dashboard

1. Login to your website’s admin dashboard. From the admin sidebar, click Plugins.
2. Click Add New. Enter rtMedia as the search term. The rtMedia plugin details are then displayed.
3. Click Install Now.
4. From the next screen, click Activate Plugin.

Download and install rtMedia from the WordPress plugin directory

Go to rtMedia’s plugin directory page on WordPress.org and click Download. The plugin is downloaded as a .zip file.

To install the plugin:

1. From your admin sidebar, click Plugins.
2. Click Add New.
3. To upload the plugin you downloaded, click the Upload link.
4. Click Choose File and select the downloaded plugin file.
5. Click Install Now, and wait for your server to complete the installation.
6. From the next screen, click Activate Plugin.
